Another Period Drama Tag

My friend Molly at A Ramble Through the Woods tagged me here for this delightful tag created by Elanor of Musings of a Jane Austen Wannabe.   Ain't that fun?

And so...so, so, so...I'm here today to--you guessed it!--answer all the questions!  Are you ready for this?

The rules of the game:
#1. Answer the questions
#2. Link back to the person who tagged you
#3. Tag at least one other blogger to do the tag

Sounds good!  Let's get started.

1.  What was the most recent period drama you watched?  Share what you thought of it.
Oh.  Good one.  *rubs hands together gleefully*

So...

I watched the 2017 Little Women on youtube!  (Yes, I found it on youtbue.  And no, it probably wasn't supposed to be there.  An infringement of copyright no doubt, but hey!  It was there, just begging to be watched.  How could I resist?)

What did I think of it?  Ah me.  "I laughed.  I cried.  It moved me, Bob."  Actually I didn't cry, but if I had it would have been from frustration.  Guys!  (Or girls.  Whatever.)  I'm telling you, IT WAS  PAINFUL!  Like so painful.  I really haven't the words to express how much I disliked it.

Okay, so some of you know that I have yet to see a Little Women movie that I really like, (even the 1994 version gets my hackles up sometimes though so many people love it) so yeah, maybe I'm not the perfect judge, but that being said my opinion is still my opinion.  And I have to say that in that most humble (cough) opinion of mine, this movie was A-W-F-U-L.  (That spells awful.)  (Awfully, awfully, awful.)  I don't have time to go into all the details but let me just say, my brother and I were literally shouting with vexation and disbelief at some points.  Like WHY?  Why can't they ever get it right???

Enough said.

2.  Do you generally prefer period dramas in the form of a movie or a TV series/mini-series?  Why?
It depends on how long the book is.  Some books can actually be done quite well in movie form.  But generally speaking mini-series are preferable, just because you can get more of the story that way.  (And when you're dealing with Dickens or Austen it's essential.)

3.  What is your favorite musical period drama?
Oh goodness.  That's a hard one.  How about Mary Poppins?  That counts as a period drama, right?  I like that one!  :)

4.  Read the book first or watch the movie first?
I don't really have a rule for this one.  Generally I like the idea of reading the book first just because it's the original and I'd prefer that my loyalties lie with the original rather than the copy, but if I do happen to see the movie first it's not a big deal.

5.  What is a valuable life lesson you learned from a period drama?
'Bye-Yum Pum Pum'.  It's the only way to go, girls.  The most effective way to find true love and snag yourself a man.  (Obviously I have yet to apply it to my own life.  *eye roll*)

(And yes, of course that was a sarcastic answer.  Sorry, but I just can't help myself.  Apparently I can't be serious to save my life.)

6.  Which period drama hero would you be likely to fall in love with in real life?
Wow. We're getting awfully personal here.  (Haha.)

This is actually a really hard question.  Because there are tons of period drama heroes I love, and yet when I think about them being real-life guys and me actually falling in love with them...well, it's just odd, you know?   But let's go with Gilbert.  I'm sure if he were a real person I'd probably like him a whole lot more than I'd want to admit to.  ;)

7.  Do you ever like to binge-watch a period drama series?
Yes of course! Nothing specific is coming to mind at the moment, but I'd pretty much binge-watch any good show if I had the chance.

8.  What things go best with watching a period drama?
Siblings who happen to have the same thought processes as yourself.  Because it's just so much fun to watch a movie with someone else who feels exactly the same way about it as you do.  Who laughs when you laugh, cries when you cry, and scoffs when you scoff.  Oh yeah.  Better than a cup of tea.  (I don't know what tea has to do with it, but it just popped into my head to say that.  So I did.  That's all.)

9.  Which period drama do you think you would fit into best?
Little Women.  I can do the March family thing because they're such a real family...like my own.  I know and understand them.

10. If you could have any period drama character for a best friend, who would it be?  And why?
Please, please, can I have Henry Tilney (from the book)?  Aside from the fact that he's another hero I might consider falling in love with, I just think he would be an awesome friend and I would have a lot of fun with him.

11. Show us a picture of a period drama costume you wish you could wear in real life.

This one!  This one!!  Seriously, people, I long for this dress!  I lie awake at night thinking how blissfully happy I would be if only it could be mine!  Truly it would be a dream come true for me.

(A dream, yes.  And one definitely of nightmarish proportions.)

Okay, so yeah, I was kidding about that.  I don't really like that dress.  It's frightful.  (Like that wasn't perfectly obvious, Miss March.  Honestly. Your jokes are so lame.  I know.  But you love me anyway.  I never said anything about loving you.  *grimace*  Okay, forget it.  Change the subject.)

Now I'm being serious.  This dress would of course be out of style for today  but if we had some sort of dress-up ball or something I could totally go for wearing it.

Isn't it so pretty?  I love the sleeves!

12. Are there any period dramas you like to watch during a particular season or holiday?
Not really.  Any time will do. ;)

13. Which period drama has your favorite soundtrack?
As you all probably know by this point I'm not very good at picking favorites.  So I'm afraid I don't have a real answer for this one.  But...oh, wait!  I just thought of one!  The soundtrack for All Creatures Great and Small.  That one is AMAZING and I love it and I wish there was some way to get it on CD.

14. Dream cast your favorite actor and actress in a period drama of your choosing; tell which parts they would play and why.
Sorry.  I'm afraid I don't a favorite actor or actress either.  (I'm just that boring.)  But I'll cast these two as Edmund and Fanny in Mansfield Park because...why not?  I think they'd be great for those roles.

15. Are there any period dramas you like more than one version of?
Well, I like some things about both the 1949 and the 1994 versions of Little Women...but then I also dislike things about them so...can that count as actually liking them?   I also like some things about Sense and Sensibility 1995 and S&S 2008 but there are things I strongly dislike as well so...I don't know.  I think I've just thoroughly confused myself.

Next question.

16. What are the top three period dramas that you haven't seen on your to-watch list?
Well, I don't have an official list so of course my mind is blanking out.  Let me think a moment.

Okay.  Three period dramas I'd like to see sometime.  In no particular order.

1. Our Mutual Friend
2. The next season of When Calls the Heart because we're currently watching season 4 and I'm just sort of "into" it right now (if you know what I mean).
3. And last but not least... *total blank out*  O-kay.  That fell sort of flat. Let's just say, whatever else happens to be available and convenient when the period drama mood strikes me.  How's that?

(That is such a boring answer, you goof.  *shrugs*  Sorry, but that's how it goes.  Goofy is as goofy does, and boring goofy certainly was.  What's that supposed to mean?  I don't know.  It just sounded cool so I said it.  Compliments of the goof (as you so considerately christened me).  Alright, alright.  Don't wear it out.  Good grief.  And some people think they have a sense of humor.)

17. Show a picture of your favorite period drama hairstyle.
*blank out*

I don't knooooooow!

Okay, whatever.  Here's a nice one for you.

*scrambles off to find one*

*finally strikes gold*

There you are!  Beautiful, ain't it?

(Okay, so I can't be serious about hairstyles either.  Whatever.)

18. What was your favorite wedding in a period drama?
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE 1995!  (Only because I can't think of any others I really like at the moment...though there's probably one out there that I like better that I just can't remember right now in which case this would be a false answer so perhaps I really ought say P&P is one of my favorite weddings or...)  (Please.  For once in your life, stop over analyzingOh.  Right.  Sorry.)

Moving on...

19. What is your favorite biographical period drama?
Amazing Grace!!!  (Also Miss Potter.)

20. Which historical novel will you forever recommend to anyone and everyone?
Well, I don't know about anyone and everyone, but I shall always recommend Little Women as an excellent book.  Because it is.  The end.

And now I tag...

Cordy
And anyone else who wants to do this!  Consider yourself tagged!

Here's a link to Elanor's blog and the original list of questions for your copying ease.  Have fun!!

  1. Yeah . . . I pretty much new the newest Little Women was going to be bad after I heard of the all-British cast and watched the previews. I'm not sure I even want to see it. I can't finish the 94 version . . . of course I can barely finish the book either . . . if I'm mad at the plot it stands to reason none of the movies will satisfy. The best Meg and John are from the 1933. The best Laurie and Jo, Beth, and Amy are from the 94 (why are Meg and John so ancient in this one? Meg was 16 for crying out loud; and the professor is a creep and that whole part was WEIRD . . . its weird in the book but the movie modernized it ludicrously). I want to see the 70's version. I don't remember being thrilled with the 49 version. End of rant.

Yeah, the Sense and Sensibility version I kind of feel that same way. Colonel Brandon is ALWAYS wrong: far, far too old (how does 35 mean old man, like 40 or 50 to you; one of my sisters pointed out that they never do that with Mr. Knightly and he is 36 or 37) and CREEPY (of I find it slightly creepy in the book). Matthew McFadyen would make a perfect Colonel Brandon. Elinor, Edward, Margaret, Mrs. Dashwood, the scenery, and the costuming (overall; I still like some dresses from the 95 one) are better in the 2008. Marianne and Willoughby are better in the 95 version.

    1. Haha, I have always wondered that, too! Why does Col. Brandon have to look 50 in the adaptations when he was really only 35?!

    2. Oh yes, the 1933 version. It's been AGES since I've seen that one. I should watch it again. I've also never seen the 70's version but I'd like to watch that one sometime, too.

Oh dear. Now I just have to ask, what is it about the plot that makes you angry? Are you one who wanted Laurie and Jo to get together? Or is it something entirely different? I'm so curious now. :)

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!! Yes. Colonel Brandon is NEVER right in my opinion. He just seems kind of "lifeless" to me. I can't feel for him. But then I don't get into his character very much in the book either so maybe that's just how it is. (Though I do think if the right person played him in a movie that might improve my opinion of him in the book as well.) Matthew McFadyen? Hey, you may have something there. Yeah, he might just be able to pull that role off rather nicely. :) I did really like Elinor and Edward in the 2008 version. They were great. Marianne and Willoughby are definitely better in the '95 version though. Willoughby is just WAY too creepy in the '08 version. It's ridiculous how Marianne could even fall for him!

    3. Ok, everything in your last paragraph . . . EXACTLY!!! Everyone loves Colonel Brandon, and even in the book I'm like, "eh." Also, Willoughby LOOKS bad.

And yes, I dislike that Jo and Laurie don't end up together but its more than that. Little Women was published as two books: Little Women and Good Wives. And Alcott deliberately kept Laurie and Jo apart and you can see rather contradictory/unbelievable/unsatisfactory plot/character changes. For example, Jo really matured through Little Women, but she seriously retrogressed, to the point of caricature in the beginning of Good Wives. And then Laurie marries Amy. It's not just that he married Jo but that he marries AMY. For one thing, you don't marry your sister's flame. NOPE. And Amy is the boring, snotty one who gets everything her way with no real worth. And she changes Laurie to be just as flat a character as Amy. Clearly the Laurie Amy story doesn't work out well as its not even original or well-developed. Jo and the Professor's story is a lot more real although it still felt manufactured, but I find the age difference and his fatherly mannerism disturbing. Basically splitting Laurie and Jo isn't merely a sinking of a ship but the spoiling of a story.

    4. True and true. :)

Okay, wow. We're totally coming at this from different angles. For starters, I don't really see any of the contradictory plot/character changes that you do. I actually think the story fits together quite well, and it never felt to me like Louisa May Alcott was making her characters act "out-of-character" in order to take the plot in the direction she wanted. Jo never loved Laurie. And even in Little Women I don't think the author gives the impression that their relationship is headed in that direction. That's what would have annoyed me. If Louisa May Alcott had made it sound like they would end up together in one book and then totally did a switch in the next. But I really don't think she did that.

As to Laurie marrying Amy, I actually think that's really neat. Because then Laurie will forever be a part of their family and he and Jo can be brother and sister as they were meant to be (okay, that's my opinion, haha ;)), and I just think it's so cool that Amy gets to marry a beloved childhood friend. Also, I think there's a misconception about Amy. I feel like a lot of times in the movies she's made out to be a spoiled brat. But she's really not. Granted, she is a little spoiled as a child, but she grows up a lot in the book and by the second half you realize she's very concerned about doing what's right and growing better and being a real lady. She's actually a very strong character in my opinion.

Oh yes. The age difference. That can be rather disturbing I grant you. I mean, personally, I don't want to marry someone who's a great deal older than me. But yeah, I guess it works for some people. And if you read the sequel they're actually a very cute couple and don't seem all that different in age, really. At least so far as I can remember. (How much is the age difference exactly? I can never remember how old they are. I guess I should look that up. :))

Anyway, thank you so much for satisfying my curiosity. It was very interesting to hear your take on it, and I now understand why you're not a huge fan of Little Women. It makes perfect sense. :) Sorry if I rambled on a bit. I'm a sucker for these kind of discussions. :)

  2. I loved your answers, Miss March! (Especially when you get sarcastic because it's hilarious to me!) (And, no, that was not me being sarcastic. I really do like your sarcasm.) Anyway.

You have watched the new Little Women!? And it was awful? :( I mean, I was skeptical after seeing the trailer, but I was still hoping it might turn out alright after all. (Even though I'm sure it could never equal the 1994 version.) I will probably still watch it, but I am sure you're right and it will not be good. Ah well, it wouldn't be the first time that a remake has failed to live up to my expectations. :)

"Because it's just so much fun to watch a movie with someone else who feels exactly the same way about it as you do." That is very true. I couldn't agree more with you there.

Ooh, that hairstyle! Wow. Pair that with Drisella's dress and you'll definitely be the belle of the ball. Stunning, Miss March, just stunning. ;)

Oh, I love Miss Potter! (And Amazing Grace, too.) You certainly have good taste.

    1. (You like my sarcasm? Awwwww! THANK YOU! I can't tell you how happy that makes me!! *grins*)

I know, it's so sad. I wish someone would make a really good Little Women sometime, because it's such a good story and it would make an awesome miniseries! (That's why this one was even more disappointing, I think, because it was a miniseries. They had time to do so much, and yet it fell so flat. In my opinion anyway.) But yes, you should definitely watch it for yourself. My opinion often ends up being in the minority (perhaps I'm too picky??), so yeah, you might actually like it! I'd be interested to hear what you think of it when you see it! :)

REALLY?!! Yay! I always wanted to be the belle of the ball!!! ;D

Miss Potter is SUCH a good movie. We just recently watched it again and oh!! I think it's one of my favorite romances. <3 <3 Thank you! You have good taste, too!! :D

Thanks so much for creating this tag. I had a lot of fun with it! :)

Ahhhh, I love Henry Tilney too <3.

    I haven't seen Season 4 of WCTH, but I hear from a trusted source that it's pretty..umm....heart-wrenching.

    Wonderful post, dear!

Uh, yeah. It definitely has it's heart-wrenching moments that's for sure. I tend to laugh at it a lot because some of it is so cheesy, but there were some points that almost had me in tears so yeah...you can imagine.

Thank you so much for your comment!! :)

  4. Ooh, I recently found this tag, too! I want to do it one of these days. *nods*

A-ha, yes, the new Little Women adaptations . . .

    . . .

    . . . I Am Skeptical.

Because, you know, I utterly love the '94 movie (WHAT?! YOU DON'T?! For shame! Heehee, just kidding. ;)), and I love the book, and . . . I'm Just Skeptical. :-P

Also, what is that line, "I laughed, I cried, it moved me, Bob" from? Because I need to start using it immediately.

Ach, isn't it frustrating when soundtracks for specific shows are nowhere to be found?

Aww, I think that's a fantastic casting choice for Mansfield Park! The little precious babies. *hugs them* Of course, I haven't read the book yet, just seen a couple other adaptations. (But, as an aside, I did just finish reading S&S for the first time. Aren't you proud of me.)

    Lovely answers, m'dear! :D Hope you're doing well. :)

    1. I officially tag OLIVIA for this tag!!! (There. Now you have to do it.) (If you have time, of course. ;))

I know. I'm starting to feel like I must be horribly picky or something. Like so many people love the '94 version and I just don't. I mean, there are some things I like about it (and after watching the newer one the '94 one looked even better, haha!) but...I don't know. I'm hopeless. :P

Haha. It's from Veggitales. Larry says it to Bob. Isn't it a great quote though? It works for so many different occasions. :)

      YES!!!

I am SO proud of you!!! :D :D What other Jane Austen books have you read?

Thank you! I hope you're doing well, too!! *hugs*

  5. Siblings who scoff when you scoff - that's the BEST. My sister and I keep a running commentary of snark while watching most things. (To be fair... they deserve it. xD)

And yes, adaptations of long books tend to be better as a miniseries. Otherwise they don't have enough time to include eVERY WORD AND DETAIL. Which is important.

    Lovely tag, Miss March! :)

  6. Aww, sorry to hear you were so terribly disappointed and disgusted with the Stan Little Women TV series. I watched it around the time of my birthday. I didn't go in with high expectations (just because I'm always dubious of remakes of my favourite book :P) and it was pretty much what I expected. I liked it. I certainly didn't love it, but I certainly didn't HATE it. There were parts I was excited about (I liked that they added in things from the book that were never in any other movies) but there were also many parts I was frustrated with. I liked Meg and John Brooke in this one, but a lot of the others didn't quite feel like the right fit. And they also seemed a tad modern, but that's almost always a problem for me when it comes to period dramas. :P

I love your little "Goofy is as goofy does, and boring goofy certainly was." ;D

    1. You liked it? Oh dear. Now I feel bad for so strongly disliking it. (Me and my big mouth. :P) Well, I'm happy you enjoyed it. And I will admit it did have some good points. I mean, it was cool how they included some of the parts that the other movies never include (though I did feel like they didn't do justice to most of them. Like they tried to put so many different things in, but didn't spend enough time on any of them, if you know what I mean). Meg was probably my favorite of all the girls. I still wasn't too impressed with John Brooke though. I don't know, he just always seems too serious to me. And kind of boring. *sigh* Honestly, Gabby, I don't know what it's going to take to make me happy with a Little Women adaption. Maybe I'm just too picky.

      Haha, thanks!! :D

  7. I soo enjoyed reading your answers, Miss March! This post was delightful as always. :D

Oh, the new Little Women was that bad? I mean, I was already skeptical of it, but I thought I might give it a try. Now I'm not so sure I will!

Okay, I obviously agree with your answer to number six, as we've already discussed! ;)

Oh my goodness, yes, Mr Tilney would be amazing to have as a friend! Why didn't I think of him for my answer to number 10?! He is so hilarious and fun and sweet...I could probably choose him as my answer for number six as well, haha. :P

Ah yes, that yellow dress that Drizella is wearing is absolutely beautiful. ;) That definitely made me smile! I almost included Anne's blue puffed sleeve dress in my answer as a joke, haha.

Ooh, those are great choices for Fanny and Edmund!

Of course, I agree with you on your answer to number 18, too!

I need to watch Amazing Grace sometime. I know I watched it a looong time ago, but I remember nothing about it. Hopefully I can soon! :)

Again, I really enjoyed this post, Miss March! Also, your new design is absolutely adorable and makes me so happy! <3

Yeah, it was pretty terrible--as far as my opinion goes at any rate. But you should give it a try just the same if you get the chance, because my opinion certainly isn't everyone's! You might like it. And if you don't, well then you and I can have the pleasure of talking together about how bad it is. Haha. ;P

      :D

HE IS! I love Henry Tilney. (And yes, he could have been my answer for number six, too! ;))

Isn't it though? It's not fair that Drizella has the prettiest dress. It just isn't! Ha! ;P Oh yeah. Anne's blue puffed sleeve dress. I never did quite understand what she saw in that. The color's nice to be sure...but the SLEEVES! Hahaha.

Oh yes! You MUST watch Amazing Grace. It is such a great movie! One of my favorites.

Awww! Thank you! I'm so glad you like the new design! And thank you for a delightful comment! :D

  8. MISS MARCH!!!! Okay, when I saw you'd tagged me I kept myself from reading your answers because I was worried I might be influenced by them. And I'll admit up front, I think I still managed to steal one or two. My bad. Hahaha. But on to your answers.

    1. I was afraid of this after they started releasing clips. *facepalm* It's too painful to be endure, isn't it?

    5. I can't tell you the giggle fit you just gave me. I'm still laughing! You're the best!! Should you ever employ such priceless advice, make sure you're somehow on camera, will you?! XD

    6. Good points here...
Hahaha, "I'd probably like him a whole lot more than I'd want to admit to." That's very true I think.

    11. And how did you happen upon such a ravishing choice?! ;P
Now regarding Meg's dress, the sleeves remind me of Anne's blue dress. As Marilla would say, "you'd have to turn sideways to get through the door". But Matthew would approve so I'm sure you'd be lovely.

    17. "*finally strikes gold*" Well...you struck...something. I'm just not sure we have the same definition of gold, now do we? Someone just had to tell you. ;D

Thanks for tagging me!! I should have my post done tomorrow or so.

      5. Hahaha. I thought you might appreciate that answer. ;) Oh by all means! I shall have a film crew there to capture the entire event. Just for you. ;D (NOT!)

      6. Isn't it though? He's just such a lovable person. How can one help but like him?

      11. It's called "good taste" my dear. ;P
Alright, I grant you they are rather large puffs, but they're PRETTY puffs! I love the bell shape of them. Anne's on the other hand, they look like fat sausages or something. :P (Well at least I have Matthew's approval. That's something. ;))

      17. You mean you don't like my choice? Oh, Cordy. *crestfallen* I felt sure you would approve of my style. (Hahaha. ;D)

You're most welcome! And thanks for such a splendid and enjoyable comment!!

    2. Yes, YES I did! :D

      5. Better yet, I could be the film crew, how about that?! Hahaha

      11. Oh, I think it's much better than Anne's dress!! Anne's never really was to my taste. All but the color. I thought the blue was pretty. (But Meg looks so sweet in the pink.)

    3. Haha. :D

      5. You have a deal. (Oh no! Did I just quote Morgan Harris? ;P)

  9. SAAAAME.
Sigh. Like, I agree with so much of this. How on earth am I supposed to write a comment that isn't just "Yess!!" "I COMPLETELY agree." etc.? Well, we shall try. We shall also try to only comment with actual comments and not just the examples I gave before. Ahem. Onward.

    OKAY. LITTLE WOMEN.
I must say that is extremely disappointing. I'm not a huge fan of 1994 either so I was reeeealllly hoping for a good one.
Now? I don't think I'll even bother watching.
Sigh. It sounds perfectly dreadful. How tragically disappointing.

    Same, same, same...

    Mmm yes Gilbert...

OF COURSE WHO DOESN'T BINGE-WATCH PERIOD DRAMAS??

SO TRUE. Let's watch period dramas together sometime.

Book Henry Tilney is AMAZING and I think I'd adore to have him as a real life friend.

Okayyy I was pretty sure you were joking about that dress but I was also wanting to, like, accept it if you truly meant it, you know? But I confess it was a relief and not much of a surprise when I saw your true answer. :D

Oh my GOODNESS, I would ADORE a good Mansfield Park with Edward and Amy (Ahem, Dan Stevens aaannd Claire Foy) as Edmund and Fanny. That's charming.

Yes I know what you mean about watching season four of WCTH and being "into it". Haha.

With the hairstyle I knew that was coming. :D I didn't expect a serious answer, haha.

P&P 95, of course, no period drama blog post is complete without it. :D

There you go, I managed pretty well, didn't I? :D It's long to be sure, buuuut of course it is. :D

    1. You can do this, Rae! ;D

I KNOOOOW! I've been saying for years that someone ought to make a miniseries of Little Women, so to have them come so close and yet fail so dismally...it's painful! You should watch it though. I mean, it's fun to watch dreadful movies sometimes. It gives you so much inspiration for doing something better. (That's what it does for me anyway, haha. ;))

That would be lovely! We'll have to make out a huge big list and then when we get together someday stay up all night watching them. :)

Hahahaha. Oh goodness. You are too sweet. If that had been my true choice of a dress really you should NOT have accepted it. You should have sat me down and talked some sense into me right then and there. Because really, anyone who could truly like a dress like that is in need of some serious help. Haha. ;P

Wouldn't it be lovely? It would be so nice to have a really good Mansfield Park adaption.

Oh! Does that mean you've been watching When Calls the Heart, too? Or do you just mean you understand about being "into it" in a general sense? Because if you have seen it, now I'm curious to know what you think of it. And who your favorite character is and all that? :)

Haha. You've gotten wise to me, I see. ;)

      P&P '95. Always. ;)

You did indeed! It was a lovely comment. And long comments are THE BEST!! (Just sayin'.) :D

  10. Ahhh yes, I'm already aware of your thoughts on the new Little Women. ;) (I still haven't checked to see if it's still on youtube...I hope it is. I want to see it and add my opinion. :P)

HAHA! Bye yum pum pum indeed. :P (No seriously, we should try it sometime.) (Then again, perhaps not.)

I know, right? It's hard to actually imagine our favorite heroes being REAL and knowing them as an eligible acquaintance and all that sort. I approve of your choice. <3

Knowing both Henry Tilney AND Gilbert Blythe in Real Life would be atrociously difficult. Because yeah, I'd probably fall in love with them both, too.

BUT THAT DRESS IS SO "YOU", MISS MARCH!!!

Totally kidding. ;) Awwwwwwwwwwwww. I love your real choice. You'd look beautiful it in. <3

They would be AMAZING as Edmund and Fanny.

Ahhh, Mr. Smart Aleck. It's good to hear from you again. ;D

Okay, we need to talk about your taste in clothing and hair arrangements. :P

*sobs* You didn't tag ME! Oh well. I'll just be one of those people who considers themselves tagged. ;) *scurries off to start my post*

    1. Because I can't keep anything a secret from you apparently. Haha. ;) (I hope you can see it because I really want to know what your opinion of it is.)

(You mean it?) (Oh right. I had a feeling you were kidding. ;P)

IT IS! Very hard. :/ Thank you for approving of my choice though. And I approve of yours too...but I'll talk to you about that on your blog. :)

Wow. You are so right! That WOULD be difficult. IMPOSSIBLE even. What would we DO if we had two such choices before us? Go insane probably. (But then we are that already so...) Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, mabye? (Don't listen to me. It's after 10:30. I'm not required to talk sense at this late hour, okay?)

You like it?! Awwwww. I just KNEW you would approve. ;P

Hahaha. You were kidding? Wow. I never would have guessed! ;) Aww, thanks for what you said about my real choice. <3

Wouldn't they though? Oh! If someone would only make this movie!

Mr. Smart Aleck thanks you and says he's happy to know that at least one person in this world appreciates him. (He's such a grump.)

Why? Something wrong with it? (Hahaha.) ;P

*sobs* NOOOOO! I DIDN'T TAG NATALIE! WHAT WAS I THINKING?? (BAD DOBBY. BAD, BAD, BAD.)

    2. Two things:
      1) "Go insane probably. (But then we are that already so...) " xD Well, if we're already insane it follows that we can think we're going insane because we wouldn't know we were already insane to begin with! (Try to unravel THAT, my friend. :P)

      2) NO DOBBY, DON'T HIT YOURSELF!!!!!! ;P

    3. Hahaha!!! xD Exactly. Right. So we're already insane, but we don't know this because being insane we can't think sanely enough to determine our sanity so we're constantly thinking we're going insane when in reality we're already insane. And the result of all this insanity is that the more we think we're going insane the more insane we are in fact becoming, and any hope of our ever becoming sane once more is now completely at an end. (You try the unraveling bit now! ;))

*gulp* Sorry. Already did it. ;P

  11. Ohh, I just realized Cordy tagged me. You're excused from neglecting me. ;)

*skips off happily to do the tag*

(I'm teasing by the way, I was never upset about you not tagging me. ;))

    1. Oh whew. Thank you so much. I thought I was to be in disgrace forever and ever. ;)

(Teasing again? My there's a lot of that going around these days. ;P)
