(Or a lot thankful for, rather. ;))
This post was greatly inspired by Elinor's post here |
Warm spring days / Hot dishwater on "not-so-warm spring days" (our weather's been kind of changeable lately) / Lively conversations with family members / Music that stirs something deep inside of me / Candy to soothe perturbed spirits ;) / Parents who continue to love each other through all the ups and downs of life / Brothers and sisters who mean more to me than I can say / Newborn babies / (Newborn baby nephews in particular :)) / A sister-in-law who's the sweetest person ever, and as dear as any sister / A brother-in-law who brings so much life and laughter to the family circle / Friendships / Good books on cozy evenings at home / Warm winter night gowns and extra blankets for those nights when you're feeling cold and a tad sick / Pink eye, because then you get to stay home from work! *happy dance* (yes, I'm that bad...) / A sister who knows when you need that extra little push to do the thing you really wanted to do all along / Energizing walks / Emails from friends / Baking cookies (with my siblings) / Getting lost in a good movie / The enlivening feel which comes with the changing season / Puffy white clouds / Beautiful sunsets / The joy of looking forward to fun summer events / Delicious desserts / Pizza (okay, so I like pizza) / Childhood memories / Crazy siblings / Hilariously pathetic jokes / Sunday afternoon naps / The ability to feel emotion, be it sad or happy / Tears / Laughter / An evening spent in discussing story ideas with a particular brother (who happens to be a writer, too) / FAMILY / Home
GOD'S LOVE
GOD'S PATIENCE
GOD'S OVERWHELMING KINDNESS
So many blessings
This hymn just came to mind. Particularly the last line of the third verse, but I'll include the whole song for you.
GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
Verse: Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Though changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Chorus: Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.
Verse: Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and starts in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Verse: Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Lovely post dear!!! There are a lot of things we must be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your list!

DeleteBABIES YESSS not that we have one :( but a friend has one that I steal whenever I can... he's so squishable and fat. Like babies should be. ;)
ReplyDeleteI need to remember to be more thankful, all the time, for the things I take for granted. Thank you, Miss March, for your lovely lists (and the pictures!) *waves*

Actually, I may as well make my own little list:
Fun nail polish when you're having a dull week / Passing hard exams / Keeping important and exciting secrets / Having so many things to look forward to / apple pie / When God makes everything fall together so perfectly / Encouraging friends who put a smile on my face and help me through a tough day / Good books (especially with characters who are old friends / Ticking things off my Bucket List / Having things happen that I never dreamed would be able to / Going to a play (in theatre) in less than 2 weeks! / Winks / Funny things my little brother says / when you get the algebra lesson. :P
There you are! I could be here all night, because God is that good. :)
~Miss Meg
Thank you, Miss Meg. And yes, I took the pictures. They turned out better than I was expecting. (Sometimes it's hard to tell if it was a good picture until you put it on the computer and see it larger. Then it's like, "wow. That was actually a pretty good picture." Haha.)
DeleteAWWWWW. <3
Your list. I love it!! "Good books (especially with characters who are old friends)" Ach, YES! Those are the best. :) Having things happen that you never dreamed would be able to...so wonderful! :) And "Winks"...haha. I don't know why but that just makes me want to smile. :D
YES! God is SO good. If we could actually wrap our minds around all that He's done for us, our lists would be endless!!
Thanks for your comment, Miss Meg! :)
~Miss March
Oh yes! I agree with all of these!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are lovely! Did you take them?
Yes. I got home from church the other week and the sun was shining and the colors were all so bright and vivid, I just had to take some photos. :)
DeleteYay for siblings-in-law!!! We've talked about this before, but the poor dears are so underappreciated!!! I just adore my newest sister-in-law. It's especially nice because I've never been that close to either of my biological sisters. Anyway, both of yours sound precious!
ReplyDeleteAlso congratulations on your new nephew!!!!
Oh, they are!! So dear and precious. I love them both tons! I'm so glad you feel the same about your new sister-in-law. It's just such a blessing when you can get along (and more than get along!) with your in-laws!! Just one big happy family. :D
DeleteThanks. He's the cutest thing!! <3

ReplyDeleteThe bit about being thankful for pink eye so that you can stay home from work definitely made me laugh! ;)
Thank you, Molly! :)
DeleteHaha. ;D
Ohmygoodness, ohmygoodness, Miss March. That made me feel sooo warm and cosy and I just adored it. I confess, I often skim through lists like these, but I read yours all the way through...such warm fuzzies, I declare. You see, I am "just a little bit" thankful for ALL those things too, seriously I relate, and it just made me feel so happy. Thank you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, Raaaae! It makes me so happy to know this post made you happy! So glad you could relate. *hugs*
