Just a Short Post to Say...

I'm back!

Okay, so you probably didn't even notice I was gone.  But, hey!  I'm back anyway!  :)

The past two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind; and when one is stuck in a whirlwind it's awful hard to write anything...let alone anything intelligible.

To begin with, my brother and sister, who have been attending school in a foreign country for the past six months, finally arrived home on the 29th of June!  (I am so happy to have them back!)  My brother is going to be staying home, but unfortunately my sister is returning to school in just two weeks--so it's a short visit and I need to make the most of it.

Secondly we just got back from a week long visit to my grandparents who live about twelve hours drive from our home.   We had a big family reunion with all our aunts, uncles, and cousins, because it had been four years since we had seen most of them.  We had a jolly good time, but like all vacations we were quite worn out by the time we got home.  (I'm still suffering from sleep deprivation.  That's why I'm down here writing a blog post at 11:06 p.m. Okay, so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense...)

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say "hello."

Oh!  And by the way, I watched Cinderella on the 30th of June.

I'd been wanting to watch it and now I feel quite grown up and sophisticated because I saw a movie in the theater (first time for that!), and before it was five years old!  (I'm usually always behind the times.  For instance, I just watched Miss Potter the other month and realized, "Wow!  This is not a new movie anymore!"  Hee hee!)

I'm hoping to do a review on Cinderella before too long, but I won't make any promises because I've never written a movie review before and I'm not overly confident that I shall succeed at it.  We shall see.

Farewell for the time being.

  1. Wow, you have been busy! I'm so sorry your sister won't be staying home...but that's great they came for a visit-and that your brother gets to stay! You must miss them a lot. :(
Haha, I haven't been in a movie theater since I was 9 years old....I think I'm going this week, though, for my birthday! I wanted to see Cinderella in theaters, but it's not playing anymore. :( Oh well. Hopefully I can get it when it comes out on dvd!
Glad you got to see it! And yes-you should try a movie review! They are fun. :) You could do a really short one to try it out and see if you like it.

    1. Oh, yes. I really did miss them. You'd think with so many siblings I wouldn't notice when one or two are missing...but each person has such a unique place in the family that their absence always leaves a hole.

Going to a movie theater for your birthday sounds like fun. Sorry you didn't get to see Cinderella. We usually wait to see a movie until it comes out on dvd, too. The only reason I saw Cinderella in the theater was because my sister and some of her friends were planning a trip and invited me to go along. It was playing at a small theater near our house and the price was very reasonable, so I went. It was fun!

Happy Birthday, by the way! I hope you have a wonderful day!

    3. :( I have one sibling, but I understand how you feel! Just having even one member of the family gone for a long time would be so unsettling!

Aww, that trip sounds so fun! Glad you got to go. :)

      Thank you so much! :D

    4. Haha, thanks so much Olivia! :D

  2. *waves* Oooh, ooh, me! *I* noticed you were gone!:D

Glad you're back! By the by, I've awarded you here:

Feel free to pass, if you'd like, of course, but I'd love to see your answers!:)

    1. Truly? You noticed I was gone? Oh! That makes me so happy! *grin* :D Thanks, Olivia!

And thank you for nominating me! I'll have to go check it out and see if I have time to complete it. :)
