I have quite a few post ideas churning about in my brain at the moment--which I very much wish to write--but unfortunately I'm feeling very tired and dull right now, so instead I thought I'd share with you some pictures I took of the beautiful sunset we had the other day, and intersperse the photos with some of my favorite Bible verses.
So here you are. Have a blessed day, my friends!
He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because he delighted in me. ~Psalm 18:16-19
I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my enemies rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. ~Psalm 30:1-5
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. ~Psalm 37:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. ~Psalm 139:23-24
The Lord sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. ~Psalm 145:14-16

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
Oh, wow, that's a gorgeous sunset!!! And those are really good pictures, too! Sometimes it's hard to capture a sunset, but you did it quite well! I loved the verses, too. Bible verses are often a good reminder! ( Haha, at first I accidentally wrote, "a God reminder" and I realised I guess that's true too!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful post, Miss March!
Thanks, Rae! Yes, you're right, sunsets can be very hard to capture. I think the camera I have now does a better job than my old one did, but it still can't do full justice to the subject. This sunset was even more beautiful in real life. :)
DeleteYes, indeed. And we often need to be reminded, don't we? I'm so glad God wrote all these things down for us! (Haha. Yup. That totally would have worked, too. ;))
Oh, you're welcome!! And thank YOU for your lovely comment. :D
Oh my, those photos are very pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Psalms is your favourite book of the Bible...? ;)
~Miss Meg
Aren't they, though? I love taking pictures of sunsets. :)
DeleteHaha. I did go rather heavy on the Psalms, didn't I? ;) You know, I'm not really sure what my favorite book of the Bible is. There are SO many good ones. I guess Psalms is just an easy one for finding encouraging little snippets like this, and they just seemed to go well with this post for some reason. :)
Beautiful!!! Both the photos and the verses. :)

DeleteThat's beautiful!

DeleteTHIS POST THOUGH.
ReplyDeleteGah, this was gorgeous. In every possible respect.
Aww. Thanks, Olivia! :)
