November is shaping up to be a very busy month...

So busy in fact that I've decided I probably need to take another blogging break.  I really hate to do that since I just took a month long break back in August, but...desperate times call for desperate measures.

And yes.  The current situation really is desperate.

Because you see, I've gone and signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), which means that for the next thirty days I'm to be working on writing a novel.  A 50,000 word novel!  Which is totally ridiculous, considering that I'm horrible at writing full fledged stories.  I mean, I've never even written a decent short story before, so how in the world am I going to write a 50,000 word novel

Yep, I think I've just gone crazy.  (And I blame Natalie and Cordy for this problematic situation, because I am not "the kind of girl to do this sort of thing, if I had been properly looked after."  But it seems they encouraged me too much, and now here I am.)

So yeah.  Just wanted to let you all know that you probably won't be hearing as much from over the next month.  I'll miss you, but I'll look forward to catching up with all of you come December.  :)

Also, I wanted to remind you that Rose is hosting a Classic Hollywood blog party over at her blog the first week of November.  Anyone is welcome to join in, so head on over there and enjoy the fun!

Have a lovely week, my friends!
And Happy Thanksgiving!!
(You know, just in case I don't have time to wish you happiness on the actual holiday.)
(Better early than never, I always say.)

  1. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I'm SUCH a dreadful influence, aren't I?

I laughed with glee when I saw how you managed to fit a Pride and Prejudice quote into your post as well! :D

Don't worry, dear, I promise we're going to have a blast! I'm so happy you're along for the ride. :)

Ps. And hey...if your story doesn't turn into a 50,000 word novel, that's okay, too! Maybe NaNao will give you just enough motivation to finish it, whether long or short. That would be that would be exciting enough, right? Who cares how long it is, anyways? :)

    1. Natalie, I offer you a high-five for helping convince Miss March to join NaNoWriMo. Hehehe.

    2. Heehee, high five accepted. :D I was glad to find I wasn't alone in encouraging her. ;) (We're so glad you're joining us, Miss March!)

    3. Natalie,
Oh, you are, you are. A most dreadful influence indeed. *shakes head hopelessly*

Haha. Yeah, I thought it fit rather nicely, and the fact that you had a P&P quote in your post was double incentive to include it. ;D

Oh, I think we will! I'm going to be stressed out I'm pretty sure, but at least I get to be stressed out with my friends. That's a plus. :)

P.S. Natalie! You're so sweet! THANK YOU! I'll try to remind myself of that when I'm feeling behind on my word count (like right now. *coughcough*)

      Cordy and Natalie,
Hey now! Don't rub it in! (What is this anyway? Gang up on Miss March month? I feel like I've been bamboozled or something. HAHA! ;D)

  5. Yeah, just like Naomi said - YOU TOO??!! Haha. That sounds so morbid.
    Et tu, Miss March? ;)

Ahem. Anyways. I wish you the best of luck with your writing and I'm sure you'll get a wonderfully good chunk of writing done either way, and that is a triumph in itself.

See you in December, then! :) (AROUND CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!)

    *hugs*

    1. Yup. It looks that way. ;) (What does "et tu" mean, by the way?)

Thank you so much, my dear! And oh, I hope so. First day wasn't exactly promising, but hey! I still have 29 days to go. *gulp*

Yeeees! It'll be good to be back! :D (Wow. That's true. It'll be almost Christmas when I return! My, my. Where does the time go?!)

    2. Et tu is Latin for 'you too?'. It's a famous saying, ("Et tu, Brute?" "You too, Brutus?") that apparently Julius Caesar said to Brutus right before Brutus stabbed (and killed) him. It often pops up in movies (at least the ones I've seen - it's in Lion King 3 and a couple of White Collar episodes) and such. ;) That sounds dreadfully dismal, now that I've explained it, haha. But it's normally said in a very humorous manner. :P

I CAN'T WAIT TILL CHRISTMAS but YES, WHERE DID MY YEAR GO, EXACTLY?!!

    3. Ah, thanks for the explanation. I guess I need to spruce up on my Latin. ;) You know, that is rather dismal come to think of it. Haha!! But I know you didn't mean it that way. ;D

Oh, I know! This year has sped by SO fast!! Where DOES the time go?

  6. This is such a cute post. And isn't that picture from Jane Eyre?

Haha, a Pride and Prejudice quote! I will have to take better care of you won't I? After this is all over that is. ;)

You can do this, my friend!!! :D

    1. Thanks! Yeah, you're right! It is from Jane Eyre. Have you ever seen that movie?

Mwahaha. "After this is all over that is." (Why is that so comforting? ;))

I'm so glad you have confidence in me. Could you give me a bit of that, do you think? Heehee. ;)

  8. I salute you, Miss March. I've never had the courage to try NaNoWriMo -- I'm much too much of a perfectionist and self-doubter. But it's an awesome idea! Good luck and happy writing. :)

    1. Aw, THANK YOU, Crista!! :D I'm right there with you when it comes to perfectionism and self doubt, though. Which is why it's really crazy that I actually decided to do this. I've felt like throwing in the towel multiple times already, and it's only the fourth day! :P Still, it does feel good to actually get some writing done...even if I'm not altogether sure I actually like it! Heehee.

Thank you so much for your comment. :D

    1. Aw, thank you, Morgan!! It was so kind of you to think of me! :) I wish I could do it, but I'm afraid I'll have to skip it this time, as I already have a pile up of tags to fill out. :P (I'm a little behind these days.)

Thank you again for tagging me, though!! I really appreciate it. :D
