At this moment I have...

Six emails I need to write
(But too little time and energy to write them)

A looooong "Ask Me Anything" answer post which is clamoring for my attention
(and not getting any of it)

A good book which I should be reading
(but which I can't seem to concentrate on for all the thoughts of what else I should be doing)

Dozens of blog post ideas in my head which are itching to be written
(while lack of motivation and inspiration do their work of sufficiently hindering that process)

The opportunity to go for a walk on a gloriously fine day
(and an appalling lack of will to do it)

A cold--which is stuffing up my nose, dulling my sense of hearing, and scratchifying my throat.
(Yes, I said scratchifying.  Yes, I know that's not a word.  I made it up!)

Dark circles under my eyes I'm guessing
(if staying up till midnight is how one gets them)

A veeeery low functioning brain
(which you've no doubt gathered by this point)

And a satisfied smile on my face
(for having published a post with all that against me.  *chuckle*)

(But not a literal smile, you understand.  A figurative one.  'Cause literal smiles are too much of an effort to produce just now.  Doncha know?)

This has been random posts with Miss March.
Tune in next time to hear Miss March say...

"Zzzzzzz..."

P.S.  You know what?  I think I could go read that book now...or maybe take that walk...but no writing.  Definitely no writing.  My brain can't handle it.  (And this post is ample proof of that.  Haha.)

Breathe, relax, plan, do. That's my advice. :-)

  3. YOU HAVE A COLD, TOO? Awwww. You poor dear. I've had one since....Tuesday? Wednesday? I can't even remember. My brain has been on very low power this week. :P I'm sorry you've had a cold! I hope you're feeling better. :(

I relate to so much of this post.....*hugs* Never fear! Things will get better. Just take time to get yourself feeling well again. Relax and watch The Happiest Millionaire and just forget about everything on your to-do list. Then come back at it when you're healthy again. And take it just ONE thing at a time. Sometimes it helps me if I tell myself "just get ONE email done today". Then, do another the next day. Or a blog post. Or whatever. And don't feel like you have to get it done all at once. After all, no one is pressuring you to do these things except YOURSELF.
(Look at me, giving advice that I sorely need to take heed of myself most of the time, heehee. ;))

    FEEL BETTER SOON!!!! <3

    1. Thank you so much, Natalie! You're the best! And yes, I know I'm the one putting the pressure on myself, but still...'tis hard not to, you know? ;)

Thank you so much for your encouragement. And aww...I'm sorry you have a cold, too. :( GET BETTER SOON, okay?!! <3

  4. Aw. So sorry to hear that you aren't feeling good. :( My mom and little brother are both sick with bad colds as well. Typically I get knocked over by every little cold to come along, but this time I stayed well. So on the one hand I'm quite proud of myself for withstanding the evil sickness... and on the other hand I'm realizing that it's kind of lonely to have everyone around you be sick? Because no one feels like DOING ANYTHING...

However, I would advise you to take that walk!!! Because being out in nature is the best and I find that it makes me feel much better when I'm sick-ish!! Me and my dad took a 10 or 12 mile hike the other day and it was so fun (also kind of stupid because my feet got swollen and blistered and I'm in a lot of pain now, but hey, it was totally worth it!)!!

    1. There's a downside to everything, isn't there? Even missing out on the family sickness. Haha. ;P I hope your mom and little brother feel better soon!

I DID!! My brother got home from work and I said, "Hey, do you want to go for a walk?" And he said "Hey, I was actually just about to walk over to the store, do you want to come along?" And I said, "Yeah, sure!" So we did. And it was SO nice. :)

Aww. I'm sorry to hear about your swollen and blistered feet. Poor Kate! :( 10 or 12 miles is quite a walk. Still, I'm glad you had a fun time despite all that. No pain no gain, right? :D

    2. Everybody is pretty much better now - me included because I did end up getting it.

Aw. Your walk sounds lovely! And your brother sounds really sweet. :)

It was a REAAAALLY long walk but I enjoyed it. We live right next to a huge park and it was so scenic and gorgeous and we saw mallard ducks!!! Which I have never seen before, so that was exciting. :) I was really sore at first but it wore off quickly - apparently I was in decent shape. :)

    3. You did? Aww, that's too bad. Glad you're all feeling better now, though!! :)

      He is!! :D

Sounds wonderful! And you'd never seen mallard ducks before? Wow. That's so cool that you got to see some then. :) (You're probably in much better shape than I am. :P)

    4. Unfortunately, yes. And I was so proud of my strong immune system! ;) Thankfully though, I got a MUCH lighter case. It only lasted two or three days instead of over a week like everyone else. I am feeling SO MUCH better now!! :)

No, I had never seen mallard ducks!! They were so beautiful and I saw them come crashing into the water and being swept along by the current - they were precious!

I stay in decent shape, nothing spectacular. :)

    5. What luck. Just when you thought you had it made. *sigh* Oh the unfairness of life! :( I'm so glad you're feeling better now though!! :)

      Aww. That's so cool!

Same here. Only sometimes I'm not sure if I'm even in 'decent shape' because I get tired pretty fast whenever I really exert myself. :P

    6. Sometimes I come up a flight of stairs panting for breath so don't feel too bad. ;D

    7. Haha. Me, too! ;) Well, I won't feel bad then. Thanks for giving me moral support in this. Heehee. ;)

  5. Colds certainly seem to be going round! :O I'm in the annoying need-to-cough-but-coughing-hurts stage of mine. Early nights rock in terms of a recovery aid but they are very hard to accomplish! Get well soon :)

    1. It certainly seems that way. ;) Aw, that's an awful stage. Not being able to cough without it hurting is so annoying. I do hope you feel better soon! (Oh, that is so true! Early nights and I have never seemed to work real well together. Mores the pity.)

  6. Hi Miss March!
It has been a while since I last commented on your blog. After reading this post, I've realized what I have been missing and why I need to look at your blog more. You put a literal smile on my face when I read what you said and saw the picture, so thank you for making me smile. :)

    What book are you reading?

    1. Aww. I can't tell you how encouraging it is to hear that one of my posts brought a smile to someone else's face. That's just the best! Thank you so much, Ekaterina! Your comment made me super happy. :)

I'm currently reading The Baron's Apprenticeship by George MacDonald. Have you ever read any of George MacDonald's books?

    2. I have several George MacDonald books on my TBR list. The only book of his that I have read is "The Light Princess." I really enjoyed that story, so maybe I should try reading "The Princess and the Goblin" next. Have you read "The Light Princess?"

    3. No I don't think I ever have. My dad may have read it aloud to me and my siblings once, but I can't quite remember. I have read "The Princess and the Goblin" though. It's a really good book. :)

    4. Ok. I'm definitely going to have to read "The Princess and the Goblin" since you say it's really good. :-)

  8. Aww, poor Miss March has a cold. :(
I had 2 in my 5 weeks' holiday!

Well do whatever you need to do (or not do ;)) to get better quickly. <3

    ~Miss Meg

P.S. I'm currently re-reading the Lord of the Rings series (nearly finished them) and I was up to a chapter in the Return of the King with Faramir and Eowyn (called The Steward and the King) and I found a part where they describe Faramir's hair! I'm a bit of a snooper but I remember reading SOMEWHERE (I can't find where) that you were disappointed movie Faramir didn't have dark hair 'cause that's how you imagined him, and you said it didn't mention his hair colour in the books. (Or maybe I'm completely wrong and that was someone else... well I hope not. :P) But anyhow, in case you're interested on page 289 of Return of the King (at least in MY book) it says {describing Eowyn and Faramir}: "And so they stood on the walls of the City of Gondor, and a great wind rose and blew, and their hair, RAVEN and golden, streamed out mingling in the air." And obviously Eowyn's is golden, so it must be his hair. So there. Your point is now stronger. :D (Although for myself personally, I've seen the movie and now I can't picture Faramir anything much different from how David Wenham looked, because if I must admit it, I kinda really like Davd Wenham as Faramir. Like, a lot.) Anyhow, I'll stop blabbing now. Just got a little excited. ;D

    1. Yes. Isn't it so sad, though? :(

TWO colds??! Oh, poor Miss Meg! And on holiday, too! What an unfair world this is! :P

Thank you! I'm actually feeling quite a bit better than I was on Friday so things are beginning to get back to normal. (Still not getting enough sleep. But then what else is new? Haha. ;))

      ~Miss March

P.S. Yes, yes!! I knooooow! And I was SO delighted when I found that out because that meant that I was right all along!! (I do so like to be right. Heehee. ;)) Thanks for taking the time to tell me about your "discovery". I just love that you remembered me mentioning that. You're awesome! :) And yeah, about the Faramir of the movie. I'm so used to how he looks now that I'm not sure I actually imagine Faramir with dark hair anymore. That was how I imagined him before I'd seen the movies. :) I like David Wenham as Faramir, too...though I do wish they hadn't screwed up his character when he first comes into the movie. Like how they make him want to take the ring to Gondor? That's just wrong! Faramir would never have done that! (Ahem. Ending this comment before I begin on a full fledged rant. Haha. :P)
