Match It Game // Number Two (Answers)

Hello, hello!!  And here are the answers to last week's game!  I hope you all had fun with it.   (I know I did.  :))

By the way, sorry if the scoring is a bit confusing.  Figuring out the scores always turns out to be much more difficult that I at first envision. (Also, my math was incorrect in my last post...the maximum score you can get is actually 240 points.  'Cause silly me forgot that I had included 12 quotes and not just 10.  Haha.)

A-12
Mary Poppins

Bert:  "I always say there's nothing like a good joke."
Uncle Albert"And that was nothing like a good joke."

B-9
The Sound of Music

Captain Von Trap: "Still eating, Max?  Must be unhappy."

C-2
Emma

Mr. Knightley:  "Lucky guess."
Emma Woodhouse"Nothing lucky about it.  Just talent, and intuition."

D-5
It's a Wonderful Life

George Bailey"Oh, why don't you stop annoying people?"
That guy whose name I do not know"Well, I'm sorry...HEY!"

E-7
The Gnome-Mobile

Elizabeth:  "But you haven't got a license."
Rodney"Of course not.  I'm too young to have a license."
Elizabeth:  "What if you get caught?"
Rodney"Look.  It's grandfather's car, isn't it?  And we're taking it to him, aren't we?And it is an emergency, isn't it?"

F-11
The Happiest Millionaire

Cordy"At least he feels like singing."
Mrs. Duke"Well so do I sometimes but I keep it to myself."

G-3
The Apple Dumpling Gang

Donavan"I think it's a crime that a woman with your talent--well, I suppose you'd really have to call it magic--hasn't a family to share it with."
Dusty"Are you trying to dump those kids off on me?  Or are you working on something else?
Donavan"I am merely trying to point out that you have a natural way with children!"

H-4
The Dick Van Dyke Show

Sally:  "My aunt Agnes used to have a saying that went, 'If your heart is where the sky is bluest, then the sound of winter's twilight will be your friend.'"
Buddy:  "Your aunt said that?"
Sally:  "Yeah.  And every time I think of it I want to cry."
Buddy:  "Why?"
Sally:  "Because I think my aunt Agnes was a nut."

I-8
Little Dorrit

Fanny"I think if I see another painting I might very well have to scream, Mrs. General."
Mrs. General"I'm quite sure you'd do nothing so un-ladylike."
Fanny"Don't count on it."

  1. Wahoo! Thanks for the game, Miss March!! I had fun but I was not jealous of how you were going to have to score everything. Haha. I actually remember thinking that when I submitted my answers. But the game was really fun and I'll thank you for doing the scoring work for it!!
I did much better than I expected. :)

    2. Not particularly, but I've been in a situation where "if one more..." happened, I'd've screamed. ;)

  4. Haha, I really didn't know many of these at all, which is why I didn't play. Looked like a fun game though! Some of those quotes are quite priceless. Hahaha.

  5. Gah. *winces* Ah well! *will swot up on Sound of Music* *out of pure shame*

And I didn't know they made a movie of Captains Courageous - I own the book, and I THOUGHT OF IT when I saw the picture.

Nevertheless, an enjoyable game, Miss March!

    1. Haha. It's alright, Jem! Really. You weren't that far off! :)

Yes! It's very different from the book actually, but an excellent story in it's own right. And you actually THOUGHT of that story when you saw the picture? That's so cool! :)

Yeah, sorry it was so difficult. I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway, though. Thank you so much for playing! :D

  6. Haha, I have no idea how I managed 105 points! I tend to do okay with movies I've seen at least once, but my complete guesses are pretty dodgy. :P

    Fun game! :D
