Last day of the Three Day Quote Tag, and as usual I have more than one quote to share with you. Actually, I went a little overboard today and included five. I hope you don't mind.

I like work; it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours.

The louder he talked of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Little girl's definition of conscience: "Something that makes you tell your mother before your brother or sister does."

Learn to laugh at yourself and you'll never want for amusement.
~Unknown
I don't mind all the quotes! :D My favourite quote from today would probably be the last one, "Learn to laugh. .. "
ReplyDeleteI don't quite understand the Ralph Waldo Emerson one though. What does he mean? ;)
Yes, that is a good quote. I added that one at the last minute. :)
DeleteHaha. Basically, the one guy is trying SO hard to convince the others he's honorable, that they're suspicious of him and think he's probably trying to make off with something. Hence, they're counting their spoons (which would probably be valuable silver spoons) to make sure they still have all of them. Does that make sense? That's how I see it, anyway. ;)
Ohhhhh.....now I see! :D
DeleteOh, good. I was hoping my explanation made sense. :)
DeleteVery nice Miss March! So funny because I did a post several days ago with a version of that last quote, which has always been a favorite of mine."Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we shall never cease to be amused." Anyways, love this post! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh! I KNOW. I was actually looking at your blog yesterday after I published this post and noticed that you had used that very same quote! Haha. SO funny. Great minds think alike! ;)
DeleteWonderful quotes!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the 'Nothing wrong with nothing to say' one. :)
Haha, yes, 'Little girl's definition of conscience' is very true.
Glad you enjoyed them, Monica! :D
DeleteI enjoyed all three of your days of quotes! They are all lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rae. I'm so glad you enjoyed them. :)
DeleteHa! These are all quite marvelous. ;D I love that one about little girls' consciences - that's SO TRUE!!! :P
ReplyDeleteMost amusing, most amusing!
~Miss Meg
Haha. It really is. One's conscience certainly comes alive when there's the possibility of being informed on by one's siblings. ;)
DeleteOh! I'm glad you enjoyed them, Miss Meg! And thank you for your comment. :)
~Miss March
Hahaha, the third and fourth ones made me smile! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yeah, I find those two very amusing. :)
